Typography books for class

It is a very thin book, that is why it is so cheap. It is basically an English book, explaining all the rules of punctuation and grammar. It is a good reference book for people who do a lot of work with text layout, like for magazines and newsletters.

I like this book because it has a showcase of fonts in the back. It does have a lot of reading though, way too much for an art student. The history of typography is actually more interesting than I originally thought. It has questions at the end of each chapter for review; our teacher Brian Tinker, made us do those for his class. I think the questions are helpful, but history gets boring after awhile.
